Chief Executive Officer
Suzanne Freeman joined KCHC January 2013. She is a Registered Nurse of over 20 years and has been working as the Chief Operations Officer. She has been a Lenoir County resident since the age of 5. She is married and has 6 children.
Kevin Jones
Chief Operations Officer
Kevin Jones is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has called eastern North Carolina home for the past 18 years with his wife and two children. A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, he brings extensive healthcare leadership experience, including more than a decade in hospital administration and several years in pharmaceutical sales. Kevin is passionate about supporting community-focused healthcare that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives. Outside of work, he enjoys music and attending concerts with his family.
Matthew Frank
Chief Financial Officer
Matthew was raised in Rochester, New York, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy before earning his MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business. His career has focused on financial leadership across multiple industries, with the past decade dedicated to supporting healthcare organizations and health insurance operations. Matthew and his wife have called eastern North Carolina home for more than twelve years and enjoy spending time with their two daughters and visiting the coast.
Francisco Rios, DMD
Chief Dental Officer
Dr. Rios earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Puerto Rico in 1988 and has dedicated his career to providing exceptional dental care and advancing dental education. He serves as an adjunct professor at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry and as a clinical instructor at Wayne Community College, while also leading dental services for Lenoir County Schools. Dr. Rios is known for his compassionate approach, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality care to every patient.
Ricardo Valdivia, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Born in Lima, Peru, Dr. Valdivia spent his childhood in Florida and New York before earning his medical degree from the University of San Marcos, the oldest university in the Americas. After completing residencies in anesthesiology and later family medicine at Indiana University, he dedicated his career to serving patients through compassionate, comprehensive care. Dr. Valdivia came to southeastern North Carolina to help improve healthcare access for underserved families and remains committed to that mission.
